Sun City Real Estate & Homes for Sale in Arizona

Sun City was one of the first of the resort-style, master-planned retirement communities and still remains one of the best. The concept ? a self-sufficient community for active, fun-loving adults ? has been so successful in Sun City that several other developments have tried to duplicate it.

Sun City is located in Maricopa County about 14 miles northwest of central Phoenix. The area is served by several major roadways, including Interstate 17, U.S. Route 60 and State Route 101. With a population of over 37,000 residents, Sun City is one of the largest retirement communities in the country. Builder Del Webb has since become an industry leader in the development of its unique retirement communities because of its insight into the needs of adults who have stopped working but haven't stopped living.

In Sun City friends and neighbors, the arts, physical fitness and golf are key components of the lifestyle. Hundreds of clubs and organizations allow neighbors to get together and participate in their favorite pastimes, from aerobics to woodworking. Community facilities include seven recreation centers, eight golf courses, three country clubs, swimming pools and more.

As the community has grown, retail, dining and service organizations have been established throughout Sun City, bringing more amenities closer to home. There are also several landmarks and attractions within 10 miles, including Sundome Center for Performing Arts, White Tank Regional Park, West Valley Art Museum and Sun Bowl Outdoor Amphitheater.

Although Sun City does not allow RV parking on your own property, there is super affordable RV Storage available to all residents (space permitting). It's only $5 per foot for the entire year. So a 35-foot long space it would be just $175 for the whole year.

The reason it is so inexpensive is because it's a non-profit company created by Del Webb for the Sun City residents. Call me for more info today about this great benefit in the wonderful community of Sun City.
